Terms and Conditions of Use
These terms and conditions govern the use of the website www.kairopia.org and participation in Kairopia Association activities.
1. Acceptance of Terms
The use of the website and the booking or participation in Kairopia Association activities implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the site or the services offered.
2. Association Membership
To participate in activities at discounted rates, you must be a member of the Kairopia Association:
- Annual membership fee: €20
- Membership is valid for the current calendar year
- Membership must be renewed annually
- Non-members can participate in activities by paying the full rate
3. Activity Booking
3.1 Booking methods:
- Bookings can be made via the online calendar, email, or telephone
- Booking is mandatory for all activities
- The booking is considered confirmed only after receiving confirmation from the Association
3.2 Cancellation policy:
- Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours before the activity
- Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows: the lesson is considered used
- In case of illness with a medical certificate, the lesson can be rescheduled
4. Payments and Refunds
4.1 Payment methods:
- Cash (at the venue)
- Bank transfer
- PayPal
4.2 Rates:
- Rates are specified for each activity in the calendar
- Members are entitled to discounted rates
- The first trial lesson is free for new participants
4.3 Lesson packages:
- Packages must be paid in full at the first lesson
- Packages have a specified validity period (e.g., 6 months, 2 years)
- Lessons not used by the expiration date are non-refundable
4.4 Refunds:
- No refunds are provided for unused lessons
- If an activity is canceled by the Association, the lesson can be rescheduled or refunded
- Exceptional circumstances will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
5. Participation in Activities
5.1 General requirements:
- Participants must be in good health
- For some activities, a medical certificate may be required
- Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult
5.2 Behavior during activities:
- Respectful behavior towards instructors and other participants is required
- It is necessary to follow the instructors' directions
- The Association reserves the right to remove those who do not respect the rules
6. Liability and Waiver
6.1 Assumption of risk:
Participants acknowledge that some activities may involve physical risks and assume responsibility for their own participation.
6.2 Disclaimer of liability:
Kairopia Association is not responsible for:
- Injuries or physical damage during activities, except in cases of proven negligence
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Damages resulting from failure to follow instructors' directions
6.3 Insurance:
The Association is covered by civil liability insurance. Participants are advised to verify their own personal insurance coverage.
7. Intellectual Property
All material provided during activities (handouts, videos, audio) remains the property of the Association and may not be reproduced or distributed without written authorization.
8. Privacy and Images
8.1 Photos and videos:
- Photos or videos may be taken during activities for promotional purposes
- Participants who do not wish to appear must communicate this in advance
- Images will be used only to promote the Association's activities
8.2 Personal data:
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to Terms
The Association reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be published on the website and communicated to members.
10. Disputes
In case of disputes, an amicable resolution will be sought first. In case of disagreement, the court of Nice (France) will have jurisdiction for the French headquarters or the court of Bari for Italian activities.
